were received from more than 100 countries across the world in the consultations for General Comment No.26. 

Children’s key demands to adults

  4. Cooperation across countries and regions of the world

  5. Awareness raising and environmental education

  6. Spaces to share their ideas for potential solutions

“First we used to play in the park near my house. Now a factory has been built near my house and a dirty smell comes from there. Now we are not able to play there.”

“Add information about climate change to the current school curriculum so that all children and youth can attain first hand information on climate change.”

“When there are floods I don’t feel happy. We can’t go to classes because of the flooded roads and people are fired from their jobs…”
